The progressive oath

If progressive officials had to take an oath, this is my recommendation for what should be included in it:

1. Always to act in the interests of the public.
2. To value everyone equally.
3. To ensure everyone "an unfettered start at the race of life."
4. To protect the people from any threat - foreign or domestic.
5. To ensure the people's constitutional rights and freedoms are respected.
6. To keep the public informed and engaged.
